On this trip, we experience Saimaa's most breathtaking landscapes aboard a genuine tar steamship, marvel at the forces of nature at Kummakivi, and stay overnight at the historic Imatra State Hotel. Sunday is crowned by a relaxing sauna raft cruise on Vuoksi.

Lappeenranta – Puumala – Ruokolahti – Imatra – Helsinki

Saturday: From the waves of S/S Wenno to the castle's ambiance

10.00 The journey begins. Bus transfer departs from in front of Hotel Lappee.
12.00 We arrive at Puumala harbor. We board the historic tar steamship S/S Wenno. During the cruise, we admire the Saimaa archipelago and enjoy a delicious lunch in the ship's atmosphere.
14.00 The cruise ends, and the journey continues by bus towards Ruokolahti.
14.45 Stop at the famous Kummakivi. From the bus, it's about a half-kilometer easy walk to this geological wonder – a massive erratic boulder that balances on a rocky outcrop, defying gravity.
16.00 Return to the bus and journey towards Imatra.
17.00 Accommodation at the magnificent Imatra State Hotel. The rooms are located on the opulent castle building side. A moment to settle in and enjoy the unique ambiance of the "Castle".
19.00 Communal dinner at the hotel restaurant. A unified menu is offered (we take into account reported allergies).

Sunday: Relaxation along the Vuoksi River

08.00–09.30 Hearty breakfast at the hotel.
10.00 Check-out from the hotel. Luggage will be stored at the hotel. We will take a brisk walk with our guide towards the Vuoksi riverbank (walking distance approx. 1.3 km).
10.30 An experiential sauna raft cruise on Vuoksi. During the cruise, there is an opportunity to enjoy the sauna and swim while admiring the scenery.
For an additional fee: Opportunity to try memorable drysuit floating in the current.
12.30 The sauna raft docks at Ravintola Sula's shore.
12.45 Communal lunch at Ravintola Sula.
13.40 Transfer to Imatra railway station.
14.00 Train to Helsinki departs.

Price: 425 €/person in a double room. Additional charge for a single room + 40 €/person

Bus transfers from Lappeenranta's Hotel Lappee via Puumala to Imatra, tar steam cruise + lunch and coffee, visit to Kummakivi, dinner and accommodation including breakfast at Imatra State Hotel.
Guided walk approx. 1.3 km from the State Hotel to Ravintola Sula/sauna raft.

Bus transfer from Ravintola Sula via the State Hotel (luggage collection) to Imatra railway station (main station).

For an additional fee

On the sauna raft, for an additional fee, opportunity for drysuit floating in Vuoksi (70 €/person) and towels (5 €/person)

Important information for travelers

Meals: Please inform us of any food allergies and special diets in the "Additional information" field when booking.
Sauna Raft: You can bring your own towel and swimsuit or rent a towel on-site (5 €/person).
Floating: Drysuit Floating is an optional additional service (70 €/person), which is booked separately.

Booking and Cancellation Terms

Payment Terms: The booking fee (25% of the total amount) is paid upon reservation. The remaining balance (75%) is paid 60 days before the trip.

Trip Confirmation: Trips are arranged if at least 15 people have booked the trip. Everyone will be informed of the trip's confirmation immediately after the sales period ends. If the trip is not realized, customers will receive a full refund of the booking amount.

Responsible tour operator: The responsible organizer of the package tour is Simmes Oy / Rajamailla. This ensures that in all circumstances, the customer receives a refund if the trip is cancelled. With the package tour, Simmes Oy pays margin tax retroactively for the trip. If you would like a receipt with tax itemized, please send an email to myynti@rajamailla.fi.
