Finnish Forest Museum Lusto

Finnish Forest Museum Lusto

Lustontie 1, Punkaharju, Punkaharju
For the whole family For couples For those hungry for culture

Lusto is not just any dusty museum, but an experiential and visually stunning meeting place in the heart of the most beautiful ridge and lake nature of Eastern Finland. The renovated, impressive core exhibition "Land of Forest Relations" invites you to ponder Finnish forest culture with new eyes. Here, history, present day, and future visions meet in a way that speaks to each of us.

In the summer of 2026, Lusto will offer special joy for families with children, when the new special exhibition "It's Just a Game" opens its doors to the world of wooden toys and forest games. Between touring the exhibitions, it's lovely to sit down at Restaurant Kuhankeittäjä, which serves delicious food conjured from local ingredients. A trip to Lusto is a perfect choice in any weather, and on the same journey, it's convenient to also visit the nearby Station Art Pier!
